Desi gnate d dams . Pri ntin g and bin ding . For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Act entitled "The Tennessee Val ley Authority Act of 1933", approved May 18, 1933 (U. S . C ., title 16, ch . 12a) as amended by the Act approved August 31, 1935 (49 Stat ., 1075-1081), including the continued con- struction of Norris Dam, Wheeler Dam, Pickwick Landing Dam, Guntersville Dam, and Chickamauga Dam and the beginning of con- struction on a dam on the Hiwassee River, a tributary of the Ten- nessee River, at or near Fowler Bend, and the cont inuation of pre- liminary investigations as to the appropriate location and type of a dam on the lower Tenn essee River, and t he ac quisit ion of nece ssary land, the clearing of such land, relocation of highways, and the con- struction or purchase of transmission lines and other facilities, and all other necessary works authorized by such Acts, and for printing and binding, law books, books of reference, newspapers, periodicals, purchase, maintenance, and operation of passenger-carrying vehicles, rents in the Distric t of Columbia and elsewhere, a nd all necessary Salaries and expenses . salaries and expenses connected with the organization, operation, and investigations of the Tennessee Valley Authority, fiscal year 1937, $39,900,000 : Provided, That this appropriation and any unexpended bala nce on June 30, 1 936, i n the "Tenne ssee Valley Autho rity Fund, 1936", and the receipts of the Tennessee Valley Authority from all sou rces during the fiscal year 1937 (exce pt as limit ed by secti on 26 of the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933, as amended), shall be cov ered i nto an d acco unted for as one fund to be known as the "Tennessee Valley Au thority Fund, 1937", to remain available until June 30, 1937, and to be available for the payment of obligations char geable again st th e "Ten nessee Valle y Aut hority Fund, 1936 . " THOMAS JEFFERSON MEMORIAL COMMISSION For every expenditur e requisite for and incident t o the perform- ance of the duties of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Commission, created by Public Resolution Numbered 49, Seventy-third Congress, approved June 26, 1934 (48 Stat ., 1243), including personal services in the District of Columbia and elsewhere without regard to the provisions of the civil-service laws and regulations, and the Classi- fication Act of 1923, as amended, purchase or preparation of plans, designs, and e stimates, printing and binding , office equipment and sup plies, contr act st enogra phic r eporti ng ser vices, books and periodicals, traveling expenses of members and employees of the Commission (including such expenses and allowances for members of the Commission when required to be in Washington, District of Col umbia, in co nnecti on wit h the work of the Commis sion), and such other contingent and miscellaneous expenses as may be neces- .
