(c) For the maintenance, upkeep, and repair (exclusive of garage rent, pay of operators, tires, fuel, and lubricants) on any one motor- propelled passenger-carrying vehicle, except busses and ambulances, in excess of one-third of the market price of a new vehicle of the same make and class and in no case in excess of $400 . No part of the money appropriated under this Act shall be paid to any person for the filling of any position for which he or she has been nominated after the Senate upon vote has failed to confir m the nomina tion o f such perso n . [CHAPTER 111 .] JOI NT RESOLU TION Establishing a commission for the participation of the United States in the observan ce of th e three hundredt h annive rsary of the fou nding of the Col ony of Connecticut, authorizing an appropriation to be utilized in connection with such observance, and for other purposes. Resolved by the Senate and Hou se of Representatives of the United States of America in Con gress assembled, That there is hereby established a commission to be known as the " Uni ted St ates Conn ectic ut Te rcent enary Com missi on " (hereinafter referred to as the " Commission ") and to be composed of sixteen commissioners, as follows : Five persons to be appointed by the President of the United States, five Senators by the President of the Senate, and six Members of the Ilouse of Representatives by the Speaker of the House of Representatives . The Commission shall serve without compensation and shall select a chairman from among their number . SEC. 2 . There is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any mo ney in the Tre as ury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $10,000, to be expended by the Commission for actual and necessary traveling expenses and subsistence, while discharging its official duties outside the District of Columbia . [CHAPTER 112 .] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the ti me for repayment to the tribe of the $50,000 revolving fund for the benefit of the Crow Indians, created by the Act of June 4, 1920 (41 Stat . 755), fo r the pu rchase o f seed, animals, machine ry, too ls, impl ements, and other equipment is hereby extended from June 30, 1935, to June 30, 1945, and said fund is hereby made available for such purposes for the further period of ten years from and after June 30, 1935 .
