Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury allocated by the President for the maintenance and operation of the Civilian Conservation Corps, to Carolina Maldonado, of Socorro, Texas, the sum of $3,500, in full satisfaction of her claim against the United States for injuries received while riding in automobile which was struck by Govern- ment truck numbered 33799 operated in connection with the Civilian Conservation Corps near Ysleta, Texas, on June 22, 1936: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the limita- tions of time in sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled "An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes", approved September 7, 1916, as amended by sundry Acts, including the Act of February 15, 1934, are hereby waived, and the United States Employees' Compensation Commission is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider the claim of Sadie N. Pike and Edward W. Pike, of Greenville, South Carolina, for compensation for the death of their son, Edward G. Pike, result- ing from injuries sustained in line of duty as an enrollee of the Civil- ian Conservation Corps in Company 461, Camp SC P-62, Kingstree, South Carolina, on December 5, 1933: Provided, That the United States Employees' Compensation Commission is also hereby author- ized to receive and consider claims for compensation by the said Sadie N. Pike and Edward W. Pike on behalf of the dependent minor brothers and sister of Edward G. Pike. Approved, August 25, 1937.
