ARTICULO 108 Estadisticade derechos de trdnsito Como consecuencia de la gratui- dad del transito a que se refiere el articulo 3 del Convenio, las Ad- ministraciones de los paises con- tratantes no efectuaran ninguna operaci6n de estadistica de derechos de transito, en relaci6n con aquellos despachos que s6lo contengan co- rrespondencia am6ricoespafiola, siempre que esta correspondencia se curse sin la mediaci6n de paLses o servicios extrafios a la Uni6n Postal de las Am6ricas y Espafia. no deberan exceder del peso maxi- mo de 30 kilogramos. Diplomatic pouches will be forwarded by the same routes used by the dispatching Administration for the transmission of its corre- spondence to the Administration of destination, their sending being announced by means of a note entered in the letter bill of the dispatch containing them. 5. In the absence of agreement to the contrary between the parties concerned, diplomatic pouches will not be dispatched under the frank- ing privilege by air mail. ARTICLE 107 Diplomatic and consular corre- spondence Diplomatic and consular corre- spondence shall bear the following indications: The name of the send- ing Embassy, Legation or Consu- late, and the conspicuous inscrip- tion Diplomatic correspondence or Consular correspondence, in addi- tion to the declaration Libre de porte (Free of postage), which shall appear under the former inscrip- tion. ARTICLE 108 Transit statistics As a result of the gratuity of transit referred to by Article 3 of the Convention, the Administra- tions of the contracting countries will not perform any transit statis- tical operations in connection with dispatches containing Americo- Spanish correspondence exclusive- ly, whenever this correspondence is forwarded without the inter- vention of countries or services foreign to the Postal Union of the Americas and Spain. fi a 1684
