BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS certain lands within the exterior boundaries of the Nicolet National Forest, in the State of Wisconsin, have been acquired by the United States through the Farm Security Administration or its predecessors under authority of the National Industrial Recovery Act, approved June 16, 1933 (48 Stat. 195), and the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935, approved April 8, 1935 (49 Stat. 115); and WHEREAS it appears that all of such lands are suitable for national-forest purposes and that it would be in the public interest to reserve such lands as part of the said Nicolet National Forest: NOW, THEREFORE, I, FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT, President of the United States of America, under and by virtue of the power vested in me by section 24 of the act of March 3, 1891, 26 Stat. 1095, 1103, as amended (U. S . C ., title 16, sec. 471), the act of June 4, 1897, 30 Stat. 34, 36 (U. S . C., title 16, sec. 473), the said National Industrial Recovery Act, and the said Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935, do proclaim that all lands which have been acquired by the United States through the Farm Security Administration or its predecessors within the exterior boundaries of the said Nicolet National Forest under the authority of the said National Industrial Recovery Act and the said Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935, are hereby included in and reserved as part of the said Nicolet National Forest.
