R. 8583] [Public, No. 500] AN ACT To amend the Subsistence Expense Act of 1926, as amended by the Act of June 30, 1932 (ch. 314, sec. 209, 47 Stat. 405). Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 209 of the Act of June 30, 1932 (5 U. S. C. 823a), limiting the trans- portation of automobiles at Government expense, be and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto the following: "Provided further, That funds available to the Department of State may be expended for the transportation of a personally owned automobile in any case where the Secretary of State shall determine that ocean transporta- tion is necessary for any part of the distance between points of origin and destination, except that this authorization shall not be extended to any Ambassador or Minister when proceeding to a post of duty where a Government-owned automobile shall have been pro- vided for his use." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Mississippi River. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the times for bridging, at Little commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Mississippi River, at or near Little Falls, Minnesota, authorized to be built by the Minnesota Department of Highways or the State of 3tat. 101. Minnesota, by an Act of Congress approved July 25, 1939, are hereby extended one and three years, respectively, from July 25 1940. S.ndn.2. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Mississippi River United States of America in Congress assembled, That the times Time extended for ridging, Dubuque, for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge or uoaqtu st Du- bridges and approaches thereto across the Mississippi River at or near the cities of Dubuque, Iowa, and East Dubuque, Illinois, author- ized to be constructed by the City of Dubuque Bridge Commission 53 Stat. 105L by an Act of Congress approved July 18, 1939, are hereby extended one and three years, respectively, from July 18, 1940. The second sentence of section 4 of said Act approved Bond ioue,. mat- July 18, 1939, is hereby amended to read: "All such bonds may be Ity, etc, registerable as to principal alone or both principal and interest, shall be in such form not inconsistent with this Act, shall mature at such time or times not exceeding twenty years from July 18, 1940, shall be in such denominations, shall be executed in such manner, and shall be payable in such medium and at such place or places as the commission may determine."
