The Rumanian Minister to the Secretary of State ROYAL LEGATION OF ROMANIA Washington, D. C. The Minister of Romania presents his compliments to the Honor- able the Secretary of State, and, with reference to the Secretary's note of March 18, 1939 1 (No. 811.11101 Waivers 71), has the honor to advise him that the Romanian Government agrees to the reciprocal reduction of the present passport visa fees, under the following conditions: The fee for the issuance of a passport visa, valid for a period of one year and for an unlimited number of entries, is reciprocally established by the Romanian Government and the Government of the United States at $3.75, the application fee being included in this sum; this fee or its equivalent in other currency is to be collected in the cases of nationals of either Government, including citizens of the Philippine Islands, entering the territory of the other, including the Philippine Islands, temporarily for business or pleasure. The Romanian Government further agrees that the new fees go into effect on September 1, 1939, after which date they are to remain in force until the agreement should be terminated by either Govern- ment, upon six months' notice to the other. Agreement by Ru- mania The Secretary of State to the Rumanian Minister The Secretary of State presents his compliments to the Honorable Agreement by U.8 . the Minister of Rumania and has the honor to refer to his note no. 3021/C-110 of August 25, 1939 and previous correspondence concern- ing the reduction of fees for nonimmigrant visas issued to citizens of the United States and Rumania.
