Be it enacted by the Senate and Houe of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of Labor is hereby authorized and directed to cancel the proceedings instituted against John L. Harder and children, Paul William Har- der, Irvin W. Harder, Edna Justina Harder, Elsie Anna Harder, and Elizabeth Harder, any provision of existing law to the contrary not- withstanding. From and after the date of the approval of this Act, John L., Paul William, Irvin W., Edna Justina, Elsie Anna, and Elizabeth Harder shall not again be subject to deportation by reason of the same facts upon which the outstanding proceedings rest, and shall be deemed to be lawful residents of the United States. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstand- ing any provisions of Private Law Numbered 347, Seventy-first Con- gress (Act of February 17, 1931), entitled "An Act granting pensions and increase of pensions to certain soldiers and sailors of the Regular Army and Navy, and so forth, and certain soldiers and sailors of wars other than the Civil War, and to widows of such soldiers and sailors" the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs be, and he is hereby, author- ized and directed to remove from the pension roll the name of Victoria Kessel, widow of Leon J. Kessel, late of Company L, Twenty-first Regiment United States Infantry. Approved, June 13, 1940. [CHAPTER 362] AN ACT For the relief of John A. Farrell. Be it enacted by the Senate and Bouse of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled That the Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed to (1) permit John A. Farrell to withdraw the final proof made by him upon his homestead entry Great Falls 076763, (2) rescind the cancelation of such entry, (3) restore such entry to a pending status, and (4) extend for three years from the date of enactment of this Act the period during which said John A. Farrell may submit final proof with respect to compliance with residence requirements applicable to such entry. Approved, June 13, 1940.
