[CHAPTER 183] AN ACT For the relief of Floyd Wilday, Vera Wilday, and James M. Wells. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Floyd Wilday and Vera Wilday, of Mentone, California, the sum of $1,050, and to James M. Wells, the sum of $155, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for personal injuries received by them when the automobile in which they were riding was struck by a truck in the service of the Forest Service of the Department of Agriculture at 4 postmeridian on June 10, 1939, on Ortega High- way between Mentone and Oceanside, California: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Russell Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representati es of the United States of Americain Congressassembled,That notwithstanding the provisions and limitations of sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled "An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes", approved September 7, 1916, as amended, the United States Employees' Compensation Commission be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to receive and consider, when filed, the claim of Hugh C. Russell, an employee of the Public Buildings Administration, for disability alleged to have been incurred by him in May 1938 in line of duty, such disability being diagnosed asundulant fever, and to determine said claim upon its merits under the provisions of said Act: Provided,That said claim shall be filed with the United States Employees' Compensation Commission not later than sixty days after the approval of this Act.
