Printing and binding: For printing and binding for the Supreme Court of the United States, $27,700, of which amount not to exceed $2,100 shall be available immediately to be expended as required without allotment by quarters, and to be executed by such printer as the Court may designate. Miscellaneous expenses: For miscellaneous expenses of the Supreme Court of the United States, to be expended as the Chief Justice may approve, $27,000. Structural and mechanical care of the building and grounds: For such expenditures as may be necessary to enable the Architect of the Capitol to carry out the duties imposed upon him by the Act approved May 7, 1934 (40 U. S . C. 13a-13d), including improve- ments, maintenance, repairs, equipment, supplies, materials, and appurtenances, special clothing for workmen; purchase of water- proof wearing apparel; and personal and other services, including temporary labor without reference to the Classification and Retire- ment Acts, as amended, and for snow removal by hire of men and equipment or under contract without compliance with sections 3709 and 3744 of the Revised Statutes (41 U. S . C . 5, 16), $68,000. UNITED STATES COURTS FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA Sixty per centum of the expenditures for the District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia from all appro- priations under this title and 30 per centum of the expenditures for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia from all appropriations under this title shall be reimbursed to the United States from any funds in the Treasury to the credit of the District of Columbia. Repairs and improvements, District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia: For repairs and improvements to the courthouse, including repair and maintenance of the mechanical equipment, and for labor and material and every item incident thereto $12,300, to be expended under the direction of the Architect of the Capitol. Repairs and improvements, United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia: For repairs and improvements to the United States Court of Appeals Building, including repair and maintenance of the mechanical equipment, and for labor and mate- rial and every item incident thereto, $2,500, to be expended under the direction of the Architect of the Capitol. COURT OF CUSTOMS AND PATENT APPEALS Salaries: Presiding judge and four associate judges and all other officers and employees of the court, $107,500. Contingent expenses: For books and periodicals, including their exchange; stationery, supplies, traveling expenses; drugs, chemicals, cleansers, furniture; and for such other miscellaneous expenses as may be approved by the presiding judge, $3,000.
