C., Supp. II, app., prec. § 1 note. 701 Cattle: Weighing less than two hundred pounds each Weighing two hundred or more but less than seven hundred pounds each Weighing seven hundred pounds or more each (except cows imported specially for dairy purposes) Provided,That effective thirty days after the President of the United States of Amer- ica, after termination of the unlimited national emergency proclaimed on May 27,1941,shall have proclaimed that the abnormal situation in respect of cattle and meats has terminated, any of the foregoing cattle entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption in excess of the quantities set forth below shall be dutiable as follows: Cattle weighing less than two hundred pounds each in excess of 100,000 head in any calendar year Cattle weighing two hundred or more but less than seven hundred pounds each in excess of 110,000 head in any calendar quarter year or in excess of 400,000 head in any calendar year Cattle weighing seven hundred pounds or more each (except cows imported specially for dairy purposes) in excess of 60,000 head in any calendar quarter year or in excess of 225,000 head in any calendar year Providedfurther, That if the said proclama- tion becomes effective after the be- ginning of a calendar year, the fore- going tariff quotas shall be reduced for the remainder of that year by Y12 for each full month that has elapsed in such calendar year prior to the effec- tive date of the said proclamation, but no reduction shall be made in any quarterly quota except as may be re- quired in order not to exceed the an- nual quota; 884 Tariff Act of 1930 Paragraph 1Y2S per lb. ly1⁄4 per lb. 1% per lb. 2%S per lb. 21⁄4iper lb. 2}% per lb.
