57STAT.] EL SALVADOR-DETAIL OF MILITARY OFFICER-MAY 21, 1943 - VIII - During the period Lieutenant Colonel Byers is detailed under this contract or any extension thereof, the Government of El Salvador shall not engage the services of any personnel of any other foreign government for the duties and purposes contemplated by this Contract. - IX- Lieutenant Colonel Byers shall not divulge nor by any means dis- close to any foreign government nor to any person any secret or confidential matter of which he may become cognizant as a natural consequence of his functions, or in any other way, it being understood that this requisite honorably con- tinues even after the expiration or cancellation of the present Con- tract or extension thereof. Lieutenant Colonel Byers shall have the right to one month of leave during the year, which may be availed of in whole or in part, andincase alloranypartofitis not taken, it shall accumulate from year to year during the life of this Contract. -XI - The leave specified in the pre- ceding clause may be spent in for- eign countries, subject to the standing instructions of the United States War Department concern- ing visits abroad. In all cases the said leave, or portions thereof, shall be taken by Lieutenant Colonel Byers only after consulta- tion with the Minister of National - VIII - Durante el periodo en que el sefior Teniente Coronel Byers est6 en servicio bajo este Contrato o cualquiera extensi6n de 61, el Gobierno de El Salvador no podrA contratar los servicios de ningun personal de otro Gobierno extran- jero para los deberes y prop6sitos contemplados por este Contrato. -IX - El sefior Teniente Coronel Byers no podra divulgar ni en manera alguna descubrir a ningun Gobier- no extranjero ni a ninguna per- sona, ningdn secreto o asunto confidencial del cual llegue a tener conocimiento como conse- cuencia natural de sus funciones, o de cualquiera otra manera, siendo entendido que este requisito honorable continia ain despu6s de la expiraci6n o cancelaci6n del presente Contrato o extensi6n de 61. -X- El sefior Teniente Coronel Byers tendrA derecho a un mes die vacaciones d(Irante el afio, las cuales podr(r disfrutar en forma total o parcial, y en caso de no hacer uso de ella o de alguna de sus partes, se le acumularan de afio en afio durante la vigencia de este Contrato. -XI - La vacaci6n especificada en la clausula anterior puede pasarse en los parses extranjeros, sujeto a las instrucciones vigentes del Departamento de Guerra de los Estados Unidos de America refe- rentes a las visitas al extranjero.
