Be it enacted, <§~c., That the Third Auditor of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to ascertain the amount of loss Value of proeuetained by James F. Sothoron, on account of the damage to, and the P",:? d°°“`°Yf’d destruction of the buildings upon his farms in St. Mary’s county, in the 23 ,°;,,f?:,§E°m` state of Maryland, by the enemy, during the late war, in consequence of the military occupation of the said buildings by troops in the service of the United States; and that the amount thereof when so ascertained, be paid to the said James F. Be it enacted, {ye., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to refund to the Rector, Churchwardens, and Vestry- Duties vn cermcn, of Christ Church, in the city of Philadelphia, the amount of duties :;"{,€b:;&nS;%· which they have paid on the importation of two bells belonging to the said church, one whereof was heretofore exported by the said church from the port of Philadelphia to England, and the other has been cast in England, to supply the place of a broken bell of the said church, also exported as aforesaid.
