HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES To pay the widow of William Olin Burgin, late a Representative from the State of North Carolina, $10,000. CONTINGENT EXPENSES OF THE HOUSE Miscellaneous items: For an additional amount for miscellaneous items, fiscal year 1946, $15,000. Reporting hearings: For an additional amount for stenographic reports of hearings of committees other than special and select com- mittees, fiscal year 1946, $15,000. Special and select committees: For an additional amount for expenses of special and select committees authorized by the House, fiscal year 1946, $100,000. Joint Committee on Internal Revenue Taxation: For payment of one-half of an additional amount for salaries and other expenses of the Joint Committee on Internal Revenue Taxation as authorized by law, fiscal year 1946 $3,000. Telegraph and telephone: For an additional amount for telegraph and telephone service, exclusive of personal services, fiscal year 1946, $125,000. Stationery: For an additional amount for stationery (additional allowance, second session, of the Seventy-ninth Congress), fiscal year 1946, $2,700. COMXrrTEE ON FEDERAL EXPENDITURES For an amount which is hereby authorized to enable the Joint Committee on Reduction of Nonessential Federal Expenditures to carry out the duties imposed upon it by section 601 of the Revenue Act of 1941 (55 Stat. 726), to remain available during the existence of the committee, $20,000, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate.
