The Memoranda of Agreement of May 19, 1943, June 1, 1944, and June 8, 1945, shall remain in full force and effect for the purpose of extending the cooperative food production program through June 30, 1948, except as they are modified by or are inconsistent with the present agreement, and the provisions contained therein will apply during the life of this agreement. This Memorandum of Agreement shall become effective upon an exchange of notes between the two Governments.
