settlement of all claims of the said Mary Fox against the United States on account of personal injuries sustained by her on January 25, 1945, when a Miami Transit Company bus in which she was a passenger was struck by a United States Army truck at the intersection of Southwest Fifth Avenue and Southwest Sixth Street, Miami, Florida, the operator of which Army vehicle was not acting within the scope of his employment: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved July 8, 1952.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the administration of the laws relating to immigration and naturalization. Doctor Alexander Symeonidis shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of August 25, 1947, the date of his first entry into the United States. AN ACT To authorize and direct the conveyance of a certain t r a c t of land in the State of Mississippi to Louie H. Emfinger.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled., That the Secretary ^. ^°^'^^ H. Emof the Interior is authorized and directed to issue a patent to Louie finger. H. Emfinger, of Meadville, Mississippi, subject to the conditions provided for in section 2 of this Act, conveying all right, title, and interest of the United States, including mineral rights, in and to the following-described tract of land situated in the State of Mississippi: The southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of section 18, township 7 north, range 4 east, Washington meridian, of Franklin County. SEC. 2. The tract of land authorized to be transferred by the first section of this Act shall be conveyed upon the payment by the said Louie H. Emfinger of the appraised value of the lands as determined by the Secretary of the Interior if payment is made within one year after the Secretary has notified the said Louie H. Emfinger of the appraised price of the lands. The appraised price shall not include any increased value resulting from the development or improvement of the lands by the applicant or his predecessors in interest, but the Secretary shall consider and give full effect to all of the equities of the applicant.
