Aivr. 1. The above named chiefs and head men and their bands Land oededro hereby cede to the United States three sections of land reserved for *h° U· S- them by the second article of the treaty between the United States and the Patawattimie tribe of Indians on Tippecanoe river on the 26th day Ante, p. 394.. of October, 1832. Amt 2. In consideration of the cession aforesaid the United States Consideration stipulate to pay the above chiefs and head men and their bands nineteen ’h°'°f°'· hundred and twenty dollars at the first payment of annuity after the ratification of this treaty. ART. 3. The above named chiefs and head men and their bands agree Indians to reto give possession of the aforesaid three sections of land, and remove to m°"€ ‘”“h*“ the country west of the Mississippi river provided by the United States ww y°m' for the Potawattimie nation of Indians within two years from this date. [Amr. 4. At the request of the above named chiefs and head men and dP§•Y¤:16¤¥\;‘>f their bands, it is stipulated that after the ratification of this treaty, the ISd{;,Stm Y United States shall appoint a commissioner who shall be authorized to pay such debts of the said bands as may be proved to his satisfaction to be just, to be deducted from the amount stipulated in the 2d article of this treaty.]* Am`. 5.
