Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Ameiiea in Congress assembled', That, for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Julian Nowakowski, or William Nowak (Novak), shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the Ignited States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. AN ACT For the relief of Wilhelmus Marius Van der Veur.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Wilhelmus Marius Van der Veur shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the recjuired visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper officer to deduct one number from the number of visas authorized to be issued under the provision of Section 4(a)(9) of the Refugee Relief Act of 1953, as amended. Approved March 29, 1956.
