TITLE V—RAILROAD RETIREMENT BOARD Salaries and expenses, Railroad Retirement Board (trust f u n d): For expenses necessary for the Railroad Retirement Board, including not to exceed $1,000 for expenses of attendance at meetings concerned with the work of the Board, when specifically authorized by the Board; stenographic reporting services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 TJ. S. C. 55a); and uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by the Act of September 1, 1954 (68 Stat. 1114); $7,000,000, to be derived from the railroad retirement account: Provided, That whenever there is duly tendered to the Board, by any person, any claim for unemployment compensation pursuant to the Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act, such claim shall be accepted by the Board without delay and appropriate administrative action for the allowance or disallowance of such claim shall be taken by the Board at the earliest practicable time.

TITLE VI—FEDERAL MEDIATION AND CONCILIATION SERVICE Salaries and expenses: For expenses necessary for the Service to carry out the functions vested in it by the Labor-Management Relations Act, 1947 (29 U.S.C. 171-180, 182), including expenses of the Labor-Management Panel as provided in section 205 of said Act; temporary employment of arbitrators, conciliators, and mediators on labor relations at rates not in excess of $75 per diem; expenses of attendance at meetings concerned with labor and industrial relations; and services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a),$3,295,000. Boards of inquiry: To enable the Service to pay necessary expenses of boards of inquiry appointed by the President pursuant to section 206 of the Labor-Management Relations Act, 1947 (29 U.S.C. 176180,182), including services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 65a), and rent in the District of Columbia, $10,000.

TITLE VII — I N T E R S T A T E COMMISSION ON THE POTOMAC RIVER BASIN Contribution to Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin: To enable the Secretary of the Treasury to pay in advance to the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin the Federal contribution toward the expenses of the Commission during the current fiscal year in the administration of its business in the conservancy district established pursuant to the Act of July 11, 1940 (54 Stat. 748), $5,000.
