AN ACT To authorize the utilization of a limited amount of storage space in Lake Texoma for the purpose of water supply for the city of Sherman, Texas.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Army is hereby authorized to contract with the city of Sherman, Texas, upon such terms and for such period, not exceeding fifty years, as he may deem reasonable, for the use of not to exceed fortyone thousand acre-feet of storage space in Lake Texoma, for the purpose of providing said city a regulated water supply in an amount not to exceed twenty-fiA^e thousand acre-feet annually: Provided, That the project for Denison Dam authorized by the Flood Control Act of June 28, 1938, as modified by section 4 of the River and Harbor Act of October 17, 1940, is hereby further modified accordingly: Provided further, That all moneys received shall be deposited in the Treasury of the United States as miscellaneous receipts: And provided further, That nothing in this Act shall affect water rights under State law. AN ACT To organize and microfilm the papers of Presidents of the United States in the collections of the Library of Congress.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Librarian of Congress is authorized and directed to arrange, index and microfilm the papers of the Presidents of the United States in the collections of the Library of Congress, in order to preserve their contents against destruction by war or other calamity and for the purpose of making them more readily available for study and research to the fullest possible extent consistent with any existing limitations that may have been imposed on the use of or the access to such papers by their donors or by those placing them on deposit with the Library of Congress. SEC. 2. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of section 1, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated the sum of $720,000 to remain available until expended. Approved August 16, 1957.
