Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That James L. Bostwick, of Milton, Florida, is relieved of all liability to pay to the United States the sum of $378.88, representing reimbursement of gross compensation paid him for Mork at the United States Xaval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida, by the United States Government for the employmentperiod of October 31, 1955, initil December 15, 1955. Private Law 85-2 AN ACT For the relief of Au^'ust.T. Strigga.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise arjpropriated, to August J. Strigga, of Kodiak, Alaska, the sum of $801.50, in full settlement of all claims against the United States and as a gratuity for loss of annuity payments from July 1, 1952, through October 15, 1952, due to delay in adjudication of his optional retirement application: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Anj' person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be lined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved April 17, 1957.
