Salaries or wages paid out of the items herein for the House of Representatives shall hereafter be computed at basic rates, plus increased and additional compensation, as authorized and provided by law. Effective July 1, 1959, the position of "Administrative assistant to Clerk (retirement)" under the office of the Clerk of the House shall be transferred to the Office of the Sergeant at Arms and shall be redesignated as "Special assistant (retirement)".
