For expenses necessary to enable the Bureau of Labor Statistics to revise the Consumer Price Index, including temporary employees at rates to be fixed by the Secretary of Labor without regard to the civil service laws and Classification Act of 1949, as amended, $1,250,000, to remain available until June 30, 1964.

For expenses necessary for performing the duties imposed by the F a i r Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended, and the Act to provide conditions for the purchase of supplies and the making of contracts by the United States, approved June 30, 1936, as amended (41 U.S.C. 3 5 ^ 5), including reimbursement to State, Federal, and local agencies and their employees for inspection services rendered, $11,529,000.
