SALARIES AND EXPENSES, MEXICAN FARM LABOR PROGRAM

For expenses, not otherwise provided for, necessary to carry out the functions of the Department of Labor under the Act of July 12, 1951, as amended (7 U.S.C. 1461-1468), including temporary employment 75^|tft.^*76i!^' of persons without regard to the civil-service laws, $1,135,000, which shall be derived by transfer from the F a r m labor supply revolving fund. For expenses necessary to render assistance in connection with the exercise of reemployment rights under section 8 of the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 308), the Service Extension Act of 1941, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 351), the Army Reserve and Retired Personnel Service Law of 1940, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 401), and section 9 of the Universal Military Training and Service Act (50 U.S.C. App. 459), and the Reserve Forces Act of 1955 (69 Stat. 598), $784,000.

BUREAU OF LABOR STANDARDS SALARIES A N D EXPENSES

For expenses necessary for the promotion of industrial safety, employment stabilization, and amicable industrial relations for labor and industry; performance of safety functions of the Secretary under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act, as amended (5 U.S.C. 784 (c)) and the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, as amended (72 Stat. 835); and not less than $303,000 for the work of the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped, as authorized by the Act of July 11, 1949 (63 Stat. 409); $3,470,000: Provided, That no part of the appropriation for the President's Committee shall be subject to reduction or transfer to any other department or agency under the provisions of any existing law; including purchase of reports and of material for informational exhibits.

OFFICE OF LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS SERVICES SALARIES A N D r EXPENSES

For necessary expenses to carry out the provisions of the Welfare and Pension Plans Disclosure Act, as amended (72 Stat. 997), the 29 USC 301 Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (73 Stat. note. 29 519), expenses of commissions and boards to resolve labor-management note u s e 401 disputes and other expenses for improving the climate of labormanagement relations, $7,450,000, and in addition thereto there is hereby transferred to this appropriation the sum of $50,000 from the appropriation of $2,269,000 for Salaries and expense. For necessary administrative expenses and not to exceed $111,000 for the Employees' Compensation Appeals Board, $4,275,000, together with not to exceed $60,000 to be derived from the fund created by section 44 of the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 944).
