Public Law 89-50 AN ACT To amend section 2104 of title 38, United States Code, to extend the time for filing certain claims for mustering-out payments, and, effective July 1, 1966, to repeal chapter 43 of title 38 of the United States Code.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) chapter ^^!,^^'V!' SEC. 2. Section 2109(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting the words ", and designated applicants for membership in," after the words "members of" wherever they appear. SEC. 3. Section 209 of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking out the words "retainer pay" and "Retainer pay" wherever they appear in subsections (a) and (b) and inserting the words "subsistence allowance" and "Subsistence allowance" in place thereof, respectively. SEC. 4. The effective date of this Act is October 13, 1964. Effective date Approved June 28, 1965.
