Maryland. Land conveyance.

AN

ACT

To permit certain real property in the State of Maryland to be used for highway purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstanding the requirements of the proviso in section 3 of the Act of March 4, 1923 (42 Stat. 1450), the mayor and city council of Baltimore, Maryland, are authorized to convey approximately eight acres, of the approximately forty-five and five-tenths acres conveyed under authority of such Act, to the State of Maryland: Provided, however, That the conveyance of such real property to the State of Maryland shall be upon the condition and limitation that such property shall be limited to use for highway purposes and upon cessation of such use shall revert to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and again become subject to the conditions and restrictions of the conversance by the United States under authority of such Act and the proviso of section 3 of such Act. Any consideration received from the State of Maryland for such conveyance shall be used for the development of the remaining real property for park purposes. Approved October 10, 1969.

American Revolution Bicentennial Commission.

ACT

To amend the joint resolution establishing the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the joint resolution entitled "Joint Resolution To Establish the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, and for other purposes", approved Julv 4, 1966 (80 Stat. 259), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1967 (81 Stat. 567), is further amended— (1) by striking out "July 4, 1969" in section 3(d), and inserting in lieu thereof "July 4, 1970"; and (2) by striking out "fiscal year 1969" in section 7(a), and inserting in lieu thereof "fiscal year 1970". Approved October 10, 1969.

ACT

To authorize appropriations for certain maritime programs of the Department of Commerce.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That funds are hereby authorized to be appropriated without fiscal year limitation as the appropriation Act may provide for the use of the Department of Commerce, for the fiscal year 1970, as follows: (a) acquisition, construction, or reconstruction of vessels and construction-differential subsidy and cost of national defense features incident to the construction, reconstruction, or reconditioning of ships, $145,000,000;
