Whereas May 8, 1970, marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the victory of Allied forces and the termination of World W a r II in Europe; and Whereas General of the Army Omar N. Bradley is acknowledged to have played a role of utmost importance in gaining that victory; and Whereas General of the Army Omar N. Bradley is the last surviving oiRcer of World W a r II having attained the rank of General of the Army; and AVhereas General of the Army Omar N. Bradley is donating his collection of personal papers; historical documents, and memorabilia to the United States Army Military History Research Collection; and Whereas the Bradley collection will be housed at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, and will be formally dedicated and opened to the public on May 8, 1970, the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of V - E D a y: Now, therefore, be it
