For necessary expenses for conducting transportation planning, research, and development activities, including the collection of national transportation statistics, to remain available until expended, $6,400,000. CHAPTER VII FEDERAL ENERGY OFFICE SALARIES AND EXPENSES 15 USC 754 note.

For necessary expenses of the Federal Energy Office established by Executive Order Numbered 11748, dated December 4, 1973, including hire of passenger motor vehicles, reimbursements to the Emergency Fund of the President for allocations to the Office, and services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem equivalent of the rate for grade GS-18, $19,000,000: Provided, That advances or repayments or transfers from this appropriation may be made to any department or agency for expenses of carrying out such activities. SEC. 201. No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall remain available for obligation beyond the current fiscal year unless expressly so provided herein. SEC. 202. No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall be available for paying to the Administrator of the General Services Administration in excess of 90 per centum of the standard level user charge established pursuant to section 210(j) of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended, for space and services. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatmes of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the first sentence of section 717(a) of the Defense Production Act of 1950 (50 U.S.C. App. 2166(a)) is amended by striking out "June 30" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 30". Approved June 30, 1974.
