PUBLIC LAW 94-165—DEC. 23, 1975 FOREST ROADS AND TRAILS (LIQUIDATION OF CONTRACT AUTHORITY)

For expenses necessary for carrying out the provisions of title 23, United States Code, sections 203 and 205, relating to the construction and maintenance of forest development roads and trails, $112,857,000, to remain available until expended, for liquidation of obligations incurred pursuant to authority contained in title 23, United States Code, section 203: Provided, That funds available under the Act of March 4, 1913 (16 U.S.C. 501) shall be merged with and made a part of this appropriation. Funds available under the Act of March 4, 1913 (16 U.S.C. 501) during the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, shall be merged with and made a part of this appropriation and shall be used for expenses necessary for carrying out the provisions of title 23, United States Code, sections 203 and 205, relating to the construction and maintenance of forest development roads and trails, to remain available until expended. ACQUISITION OF LANDS FOR NATIONAL FORESTS SPECIAL ACT S

For acquisition of land to facilitate the control of soil erosion and flood damage originating within the exterior boundaries of the following national forests, in accordance with the provisions of the following Acts, authorizing annual appropriations of forest receipts for such purposes, and in not to exceed the following amounts from such receipts, Cache National Forest, Utah, Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347), as amended, $20,000; Uinta and Wasatch National Forests, Utah, Act of August 26, 1935 (49 Stat. 866), as amended, $30,000; Toiyabe National Forest, Nevada, Act of June 25, 1938 (52 Stat. 1205), as amended, $10,000; Angeles National Forest, California, Act of June 11, 1940 (54 Stat. 299), $20,000; San Bernardino and Cleveland National Forests, California, Act of June 15, 1938 (52 Stat. 699), as amended, $81,000; in all, $161,000: Provided, That no part of this appropriation shall be used for acquisition of any land which is not within the boundaries of the national forests and/or for the acquisition of any land without the approval of the local government concerned. ACQUISITION OF LANDS TO COMPLETE LAND EXCHANGES

For acquisition of lands in accordance with the Act of December 4, 1967 (16 U.S.C. 484a), to remain available until expended, $35,000, to be derived from deposits by public school authorities under said Act. COOPERATIVE RANGE IMPROVEMENTS

For artificial revegetation, construction, and maintenance of range improvements, control of rodents, and eradication of poisonous and noxious plants on national forests in accordance with section 12 of the Act of April 24, 1950 (16 U.S.C. 580h), to be derived from grazing fees as authorized by said section, $700,000, to remain available until expended.
