PUBLIC LAW 94-363—JULY 14, 1976 and to postal employees for earned and unused annual leave as of June 30, 1971, pursuant to 39 U.S.C. 2004, $1,766,170,000. This title may be cited as the "Postal Service Appropriation Act, 1977". TITLE III EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE P R E S I D E N T COMPENSATION OF THE PRESIDENT
For compensation of the President, including an expense allowance at the rate of $50,000 per annum as authorized by 3 U.S.C. 102, $250,000. THE WHITE HOUSE OrricE SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For expenses necessary for the White House Office as authorized by law, including not to exceed $3,850,000 for services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, at such per diem rates for individuals as the President may specify and other personal services without regard to the provisions of law regulating the employment and compensation of persons in the Government service; hire of passenger motor vehicles, newspapers, periodicals, teletype news service, and travel (not to exceed $100,000 to be accounted for solely on the certificate of the President); and not to exceed $10,000 for official entertainment expenses to be available for allocation within the Executive Office of the President; $16,530,000. EXECUTIVE RESIDENCE OPERATING EXPENSES
For the care, maintenance, repair and alteration, refurnishing, improvement, heating and lighting, including electric power and fixtures, of the Executive Residence, to be expended as the President may determine, notwithstanding the provisions of this or any other Act, and official entertainment expenses of the President to be accounted for solely on his certificate, $2,095,000. OFFICIAL RESIDENCE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT OPERATING EXPENSES
For the care, maintenance, repair and alteration, furnishing, improvement, heating and lighting, including electric power and fixtures, of the official residence of the Vice President, $61,000: Provided, That advances or repayments or transfers from this appropriation may be made to any department or agency for expenses of carrying out such activities.
