To amend the Act of July 9, 1965 (79 Stat. 213; 16 U.S.C. 4601-17(c)), and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 6(d) of the Act of July 9, 1965 (79 Stat. 213; 16 U.S.C. 460 L-17(c)) is amended by inserting after "Authority,": "but the Authority is authorized to recognize and provide for recreational and other public ^^^^ ^* ^^^ dams and reservoirs heretofore or hereafter constructed in a manner consistent with the promotion of navigation, flood control, and the generation of electrical energy, as otherwise required by law,". Approved October 21, 1976.
