An Act Oct. 4, 1977 [H.R. 9290]

To increase the temporary debt limit, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Public debt limit. United States of America, in Congress assembled, That during the Temporary period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act and ending increase. on INIarch 31, 1978, the public debt limit set forth in the first sentence 31 USC 757b of section 21 of the Second Liberty Bond Act (31 U.S.C. 757b) shall note. be temporarily increased by $352,000,000,000. Repeal; effective SEC. 2. Effective on the date of the enactment of this Act, the first date. section of the Act of June 30, 1976, entitled " A n Act to increase the 31 USC 757b temporary debt limit, and for other purposes" (Public Law 94-334), note. is hereby repealed. SEC. 3. The last sentence of the second paragraph of the first section of the Second Liberty Bond Act (31 U.S.C. 752) is amended by striking out "$17,000,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$27,000,000,000".
