To authorize the President to issue a proclamation designating that week in November 1978, which includes Thanksgiving Day as "National Family Week".

Resolved by the Senate and Home of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President is hereby authorized and requested to issue a proclamation designating the week beginning on the Sunday preceding the fourth Thursday in November 1978, as "National Family Week", and inviting the Governors of the several States, the chief officials of local governments, and the people of the United States to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities. Approved October 11, 1978.
