Public Law 95-261 95th Congress An Act To amend title 44, United States Code, to provide for the designation of libraries of accredited law schools as depository libraries of Government publications.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That chapter 19 of Depository title 44, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end thereof libraries, designation. the following new section: "§ 1916. Designation of libraries of accredited law schools as 44 USC 1916. depository libraries " (a) Upon the request of any accredited law school, the Public P r i n t e r shall designate the library of such law school as a depository library. The Public P r i n termay not make such designation unless he determines that the library involved meets the requirements of this chapter, other than those requirements of the first undesignated paragraph of section 1909 of this title which relate to the location of such library. " (b) For purposes of this section, the term 'accredited law school' "Accredited law means any law school which is accredited by a nationally recognized school." accrediting agency or association approved by the Commissioner of Education for such purpose or accredited by the highest appellate court of the State in which the law school is located.". SEC. 2. The table of sections for chapter 19 of title 44, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new item: "1916. Designation of libraries of accredited law schools as depository libraries.".
SEC, 3. The amendments made by this Act shall take effect on October 1, 1978. Approved April 17, 1978.
