For an additional amount for section 318 of the Adult Education Act, $17,600,000 to remain available until September 30, 1981. 20 USC i2iic. STUDENT ASSISTANCE (RESCISSION)

Of the funds provided for "Student assistance" for fiscal year 1980 in Public Law 96-123, $140,000,000 appropriated for Basic Opportunity Grants under subpart 1 of Part A of title IV of the Higher Education Act are rescinded: Provided, That each Basic Grant award for the 1980-81 award year shall be reduced by $50 below the entitlement amounts, notwithstanding section 411(b)(3)(B)(i) of title IV of the Higher Education Act.

STUDENT LOAN INSURANCE FUND

For an additional amount for the "Student Loan Insurance Fund", $649,723,000, to remain available until expended. HIGHER AND CONTINUING EDUCATION (RESCISSION)

Of the funds appropriated under this head in Public Law 96-123 for 93 Stat. 923 fiscal year 1980, under the Higher Education Act, $1,000,000 appropriated for Title I, part A, and $15,000,000 appropriated for title VII, 20 USC 1001. part E are rescinded: Provided, That the funds made available for 20 USC fiscal year 1980 for architectural barrier removal shall remain 1132d-ll. available until September 30, 1981. SPECIAL PROJECTS AND TRAINING (RESCISSION)

Of the funds provided for "Special projects and training" for fiscal year 1980 in Public Law 96-123, $5,000,000 appropriated for the purpose of the Career Education Incentive Act (Public Law 95-207) are rescinded.
