PUBLIC LAW 96-575—DEC. 22, 1980

SEC. 3. In accordance with section 7 of the Public Buildings Act of 1959, as amended, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated $12,844,000 from the fund established pursuant to section 210(f) of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended, for the construction of a public building in Redding, California: Provided, That the Administrator of General Services shall conduct a design competition to select an architect for the building, said competition to be conducted under such procedures that it shall cost no more than one-half of 1 percent of the cost of the building and shall be conducted under such procedures as will assure that fair compensation for work required from the firms participating in the competition does not exceed that amount. Approved December 22, 1980.
