(2) The annuity under subchapter III of chapter 83 of title 5 of an 38 USC 4i09 individual who retires under such subchapter during the period 5 USC 8331 e« beginning on October 1, 1981, and ending on the date of the enact- seq. ment of this Act and who served at any time on a less-than-full-time basis in a position in the Department of Medicine and Surgery to which such individual was appointed under subchapter I of chapter 73 of title 38, United States Code, shall be computed without regard to 38 USC 4ioi et section 4109(b) of title 38, United States Code. ««« Approved November 3, 1981.
