TQ continue the transition provisions of the Bankruptcy Act until May 1, 1984, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) section 402 Qf YiQ Act entitled "An Act to establish a uniform Law on the Subject of Bankruptcies" (Public Law 95-598) is amended in subsections (b) and (e) by striking out "April 1, 1984" each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "May 1, 1984". (b) Section 404 of such Act is amended in subsections (a) and (b) by striking out "March 31, 1984" each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "April 30, 1984". (c) Section 406 of such Act is amended by striking out "March 31, 1984" each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "April 30, 1984". (d) Section 409 of such Act is amended by— ^) striking out "April 1, 1984" each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "May 1, 1984"; and (2) striking out "March 31, 1984" each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "April 30, 1984". SEC. 2. The term of office of any bankruptcy judge who was serving on March 31, 1984 and of any bankruptcy judge who is serving on the date of the enactment of this Act is extended to and shall expire on May 1, 1984.
