SUPPLEMENT 125 KUNJVIHARI Chakraverti, Rai Saheb — Pleader, Khulna, born in July, 1857, belongs to an ancient and respectable family of Brahmins in Bengal. After taking his B.A. and B.L. degrees from the Metropolitan Institute of Calcutta in the years 1880 and 1885, respectively, he joined the HooglyBar in March, 1885, and after a few months, entered the District Bar at Khulna where he has been practising ever since. In 1886, he was elected as a member of the Khulna Local and District Board and served in that capacity till 1908. He has been serving as a Munici- pal Commissioner of the Sadar Municipality from 1887 with one break of two years only in the interval. In recognition of his useful services he was granted the King's Coronation Medal in 19 13 and the title of Rai Saheb in the following year. Address : Pleader, Khulna.
