Mr. Hsiao Yung-hsi

蕭永熙字次修

Mr. Hsiao Yung-hsi was born at Hua-yang Hsien, Szechuan province, in 1878. He was graduated from the English department of the Szechuan College in Peking. In 1901 Mr. Hsiao went to England as an attache to the Chinese Legation in London. In 1905 he was called back to Peking where he received an appointment in the Board of Foreign Affairs. In 1908 Mr. Hsiao was appointed Chinese Consul to Vancouver. In 1909 he was transferred to be Acting Consul at Rangoon. In 1910 he was appointed Consul at the same place. In 1911 Mr. Hsiao was sent to India to attend the coronation of King George of Great Britain. Mr. Hsiao returned to China in 1913. Subsequently he was appointed Co-Director of
