Mr. Yang Koh Shu

楊國樞字潤之

Mr. Yang Koh Shu, known as S. C. Yang, was born at Shun Teh, Kuangtung province 1872. He went to America to attend school in 1887, but owing to illness was obliged to return to China before graduation, then went to Japan and entered the Ming Chi Law University and was graduated a Barrister at law and was also awarded the honorable rank of Professor of law. In the Manchu regime, Mr. Yang held an official position as Prefect and served as such in the rengtien province for about two years. In the winter of 1911 Mr. Yang was appointed Chief Secretary to the International Mixed Court by the then Tutuh Cheng Teh Chuen which position he held up to 1916 when he resigned. In 1916-1917 Mr. Yang was appointed Chief Secretary to the Shanghai Bureau of Foreign Affairs. In January 1918, he was appointed an Expectant Magristrate of Kiangsu
