The wood is 6 furlongs long and 3 broad. William holds 3 hides of the ſame land under the biſhop. The man who held it before William could not recede from the military ſervice of the church. When the biſhop received this manor, it was worth 6 pounds. At preſent the demeſne is worth 9 pounds: and what William has, is worth 3 pounds.

6. The ſame biſhop holds Weſtwode, It was aſſeſſed T.R. E. at 3 hides. Here are 5 ploughlands. Two hides are in demeſne, where are 3 ploughlands, and 3 ſervants. Six villagers and 4 borderers occupy 1 ploughland. The mill pays 10 ſhillings, and there are 6 acres of meadow. The wood is 1 furlongs long and 1 broad. When the biſhop received it, it was valued at 6 pounds; now at 4 pounds.
