The demeſne of the abbot is valued at 14. pounds and 10 ſhillings: that of the military men at 100 ſhillings. When the biſhop took poſſeſſion, it was valued at 8 pounds.

II. The abbot himſelf of this church holds in Langeford 2 hides,, and Edward holds them of him. Two Thanes T. R. E. held them of the abbot, and they were aſſeſſed at 1 hides. There is a ploughland and a half. One hide and 3 yardlands are in demeſne, where is 1 ploughland and 1 ſervants. Here are 7 borderers, 17 acres of meadow, and 20 acres of paſture. It was, and is, valued at 60 ſhillings. Edward holds of the King, in the ſame village, 1 hide, which legally belongs to the tainland of the abbey.

12. The ſame church holds Euneſtetone. It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. at 10 hides, 1 of which lies in Hampſhire. Here are 7 ploughlands. Three hides are in demeſne, where is 1 plough-
