of meadow, and 30 acres of paſture. The wood is 4 miles and a half long, and 3 miles broad. Randuif Flambard holds 6 hides of this manor in Corſtone, and here are 5 ploughlands. He has here 1 ploughlands, and 2 villagers, 1 cottagers, and 2 fervants, with 1 ploughland. He has alſo a mill of the value of 12 ſhillings and ſixpence, 10 acres of meadow, and 15 acres of paſture; and a wood, 3 furlongs in length, and 1 broad. Robert alſo holds of the fame manor 3 hides and a half. Wilhelmus 2 hides. An Engliſh woman 1 hide. Thoſe who held theſe lands T. R. E. could not be taken from the ſervice of the church. Two military men hold of the demeſne of the monks and of the land of the villagers 3 hides and a half. When the abbot firſt poſſeſſed the demeſne, it was valued at 16 pounds; now at 30. What Randulf and the others held, is valued at 11 pounds and 4 ſhillings.
