The expression 4 lines from the bottom which has been transcribed as √LB-√LA, should have been transcribed as √(LB-√LA) where the parentheses should be a vinculum (i.e. an overline) from the L of LB to the A of LA.
I've attempted to make it look more like the original but it's too complicated for me. I hope someone will finish what I started.
Although the original transcription was mathematically correct, it is not faithful to the original, which is erroneous, so it needs amending.
