THE LAW AND THE GOSPEL.
Behold on Sinai's awful height
The thunder and the flame!—
More glorious is the gospel light,
And Love and Peace its name.

The fearful voice from Sinai's hill
My trembling soul would slay;
But Christ did all the law fulfil,
And heaven is mine to-day.

Praise to the Lord! from sin and hell
By his deliv'rance free,
With Christ in glory we may dwell
Through all eternity!
