Safe

To Mrs. Smith on the death of her little son Parker.

Saved from the world's hard battles,
Saved from its bitter pain,
Saved from its fierce temptations,
Saved from sin's blighting stain.
Saved, O blessed darling,
Safe on the Heavenly shore,
Spared the dangerous journey,
Safe—safe forevermore.
