THE BRIDAL DAY.

The bridal day! Ah, who can tell
The hopes and fears their bosoms swell?
The fair young bride by warrior's side,
So glorious in her maiden pride.

The bridal day I'll ne'er forget
Until my sun on earth has set.
From lowering clouds and sky o'ercast
The sun is breaking through at last.

The bridal day! Oh, may each life
Be free from care and earthly strife.
May wedded life now just begun,
Be clear and bright as the rising sun.

The bridal day! As years roll round,
Oh, for you may true joys abound;
And when this fleeting life is past,
May you re-unite in Heaven at last.
