Works in the Exeter Book
The Exeter Book is the largest surviving volume of Old English literature. Donated to the Exeter Cathedral library by the Bishop Leofric in the 11th century, the sole surviving manuscript remains, mostly intact, in the library's collection to this day as MS 3501. The book is an anthology of poetry and riddles believed to have been compiled between 960 and 990 c.e.
