Mesozoic

The Mesozoic Era is the second of the three geologic eras of the Phanerozoic Eon, spanning from roughly 252.17 to 66 million years ago. The era is subdivided into three major periods: the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous, which are further subdivided into a number of epochs and stages. The Mesozoic comes after the Paleozoic Era, and is followed by the Cenozoic Era.
